ETSY FAVOURITES

Since I'm about to launch my own Etsy shop, I thought I would share a few of my favourite Etsy finds with you. These are all the things I genuinely adore and would buy if I had some spare pennies in my pocket. Maybe I'll drop a few hints before Christmas..
It's the amazing creators like these that have inspired me to continue designing and making, and to begin building a small business of my own. "Midgins'" on Etsy will soon be opening, so keep your eyes peeled for my launch post!

I'm a big lover of autumn/ winter and all the snuggly knitwear that comes with it, so a piece from SourpussKnits is right at the top of my wishlist. I particularly love this cute mustard and grey beanie.

This is one of my all time favourite Etsy shops for it's attention to detail, branding and stunning photography. I am especially fond of these printed animal cushions and would very much like an autumnal looking fox in my home.

The creativity and craftsmanship that has gone into these monsters absolutely amazes me. Each one has tonnes of character and is totally unique. This shop focuses on upcycling, meaning each monster has been made from sweaters. Upcycling is something I also really enjoy and will be incorporating into my own shop.

I stumbled across this adorable shop when searching for a ukulele case of my own and genuinely struggled to pick a favourite. I want them all!

Creators of exclusive hand screen printed t-shirts. I just love these original, hand drawn designs, especially the 'animals on bicycles' collection!

These unique kiss lock purse creations are unbelievably cute. This is another one of those shops where I struggled to pick a favourite and was totally overwhelmed by the creative design that went into making such beautiful gifts.

The sheer amount of detail in these perfectly hand crafted items is incredibly impressive. I am totally smitten with anything woodland themed and would very happily decorate my desk with a handful of these little trees.

Nothing beats coming across a shop like no other, which sells something you have never seen before. I'm sure there will be others out there, but these designs genuinely surprised me, and it's very pleasing to come across something new and exciting. I desperately want to hang one of these crochet taxidermy creatures in my office.

What's in your Etsy favourites?

WISHLIST #5

ASOS under £20..
I rarely buy new clothes full price any more. Occasionally I'll treat myself to something affordable if I need it absolutely must have it, but generally I'll only shop in the sales or on eBay. Of course there's a tonne of things I would buy if I had lots and lots of money, but realistically it's not sensible to splurge on clothing when you have important life stuff to save for (a wedding, a house etc..) and most of what we find on the high street is over-priced anyway! So, seeing as I haven't made a wishlist in quite some time, I've selected a few of my favourite pieces from my saved items page on asos, all of which are now £20 or under. What's on your wishlist at the moment?

Wishlist #4

I'll soon be lucky enough to have a rather spiffy 50% staff discount at Superdry, which gets me quite excited..
So I put together this little wishlist of things I've currently got my eye on.
What are your thoughts on the aw13 collection at Superdry?

I don't have a particularly big wishlist this year, seeing as most of the things I REALLY want are quite expensive.. (e.g an industrial sewing machine and a new camera). So although I'll mostly be asking for money, I've still got a few things to share in the form of a birthday wishlist :)

Asos Dungarees £17.50
Vans Authentic Shoes £23.50
Zara Leather Moccasin £15.99
Body Jewellery Shop Earrings £2.95 - £3.95
Asos Leather Backpack £44
Zara Quilted Messenger Bag £29.99

Wishlist #2

Having recently discovered that asos now stock shoes in size 2 and 2.5, I was jumping for joy at the realisation that their shoes might finally fit me! For some reason the asos size 3 comes up larger than normal, so whenever I bought a pair of shoes I was disappointed with the fit and always ended up returning them. So naturally, my reaction was to compile a little wishlist of shoes which are available in tiny sizes :) Hurray!

1. Leather Flatforms £60. Although these are out of my usual price range, I couldn't leave them off the list. I love flatforms, wood and burgundy, so these are perfect. I'll be keeping them in my saved items and waiting for a price reduction!

2. Portland Platforms £45. The style of these platforms is super cute and I really like the tartan material. These would make an amazing statement shoe with a little plain dress or skinny jeans.

3. Pembroke Platforms £45. Again I am in love with the colour and wooden platform on these shoes. These are possibly my absolute favourite on the list. Wouldn't they look great with my hair? ;)

4. Liquid Ballet Flats £25. Yet another red shoe.. I can't help it. Just a nice and simple everyday pair of flats, with a cute little ankle strap.

5. Simmer Heels £38. Seeing as most of my shoes are black or brown, I was instantly attracted to these gorgeous teal shoes. Everyone needs a bit of colour on their feet, especially in the summer. Plus the heel on these is amazing!

6. Lunar Ballet Flats £30. I've recently seen these on a few of my favourite bloggers. A plain and simple flat is a must have, but the strap detail makes these much more interesting and unique. They come in black and tan, both perfect colours that can be paired with almost anything. I would have trouble picking just one..

Let me know if you like this type of post!

Wishlist #1

I thought it was time to make some kind of regular themed post, so here is wishlist #1.
I'm currently craving most things in River Island so this is just a handful of what I've got my eye on.

1. Black and white geometric print playsuit £20. I haven't actually owned many playsuits but I'm falling hard for the cute styles in RI at the moment. This print is gorgeous and the black and white makes it so easy to style with any colour shoes/ accessories.

2. Red sunflower print tea dress £22. This retro style dress was too cute to leave off my list. I love the colour, the quirky floral print and the girly shape. Plus it matches perfectly with either of the shoes!

3. Red polka dot cut out playsuit £25. I spotted this in store yesterday and wish I had tried it on. I adore burgundy, polka dots and cut out details. Playsuit perfection.

4. Navy polka dot short dungarees £28. Who can resist dungarees? Enough said.

5. Grey contrast textured panel rucksack £28. I love a good backpack. This grey bag is simple and can be paired with most outfits, yet the textured panels and leather detail make it a bit more interesting.

6. Black chunky strap flatform sandals £35. I'm not really a sandal person but I love a grungy flatform, so these are the perfect summer shoe and are so versatile. I would wear them with either of the items above to make a girly outfit a bit more edgy.

7. White textured pattern cut out lace up shoes £35. I'm a big fan of classic brogues. I love this boyish style with the feminine texture on top. I don't actually own any white shoes so these are definitely top of my wishlist for summer footwear.

Let me know if you enjoy this type of post and would like to see more! What's on your River Island wishlist?
